In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus says to his followers, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Ascension believes and teaches that baptism is a wonderful gift given by God. The benefit of baptism is forgiveness of sins and the promise of salvation in Jesus Christ. Christ commanded all people to be baptized (Matthew 28:19).
